Obituary:

"Former Pine Valley Resident Passes"
Ruth St. John, 73, a former resident of Pine Valley, passed away April 18 in Yakima Wa.
Mrs. St. John was born rosamond Ruth to W. C. and Minnie Makinson in Pleasanton Kan. Oct. 8 1888.
The family moved to Pine Valley in 1898 where she attended school. She left Pine Valley in 1918 and has resided in Yakima Valley Since.
She is survived by two brothers, W. L. Makinson of Baker and Sam Makinson of Newbridge; and one sister, Mary Kale of San Diego; one uncle, Joe Sample of Halfway; one step-daughter, Carol Culbert- son of Blaine, WN.; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous cousins, neices, and nephews.
One son, Albert Turner preceeded her in death, April, 1957; One sister, Bertha Baldwin, Oct. 1957; and one brother, Fred Makinson, August, 1961.
Services were conducted Sat. April 21st in the Gardon Chapel of Langevin-Mussetter funeral home, Yakima, and interment at Terrace Heights Memorial Park, Yakima.
Ruth St. John was a member of the Eagles Auxillary, and the Ladies of the Moose.
